Singapore’s very own Comic Convention 2009

Just as I was mentioning in my previous post about Singapore holding their very own toy convention, I chanced upon this very exciting news that will be happening from the 13th to the 16th August 2009 in Singapore.
Come this August, Singapore’s very own toy, games and comic convention will be held at the Suntec Convention Hall. There is not much news regarding this event but judging from a similar event organised last year, I have a feeling that this years Singapore’s Toy and Comic Convention 2009 is going to be a blast.
For last year’s event, a total of 73 companies participated in the event and a total of 40,000 visitors turned up for the event. Companies that participated included Hasbro, Bandai and even Medicom. What’s more, admission was free and there were free goodies to collect. Pretty attractive don’t you agree.
Hopefully, the economic slowdown this year will not dampen the mood for this very fun event. I will try to bring you a live coverage of the event. Now there is an excuse for me to go to a toy and comic convention. Freebies here I come! Do you think there will be any exclusive toys there?

Hi!
I have two boys who love Club Penguin! I was just wondering if you know any toyshop, what sells Club Penguin toys in Singapore. I am not interested ordering online.
Thank you!
Tanja
Hi Tanja. Well for Club Penguin toys, I would recommend that you start off at Toys R Us and maybe Kiddy Palace. After that, you can try out departmental stores like Metro and Takashimaya. i cannot really pin point a shop but you can take this time to go for a little hunt. Have fun!
Hey.I have a daughter who loves teenage mutant ninja turtles.Could you please tell me where I could find the toys?
Nicole
Hi Nicole. You can properly find Ninja Turtles toys from departmental stores like Metro Paragon and also OG. If you cant find them there, you may want to try out the hobby shops at China Square Central.
