Bolt is one of the many animated movies that is showing in theaters now. Was contemplating whether to catch this movie or Madagascar 2 and in the end, I chose Madagascar 2 because the four scheming penguins are too appealing.

However, If you have watched Bolt, you have got to agree with me that Bolt along with the rest of the other characters are simply adorable. And what’s more, Disney has also released the plush toys for the movie. Let’s take a look at them.

Bolt

The main character of the movie, Bolt, voiced by John Travolta is a German Shepherd, who stars in the show “Bolt” in which he possesses supernatural strength. However, in reality, he is just a normal dog. The filming crew has intentionally kept Bolt ignorant about this fact and so one day, when his co-star Penny got “kidnapped”, Bolt set out on a journey to rescue her thus beginning his adventure.

Standing 12” tall, the Bolt plush toy comes with a nice collar with the name Bolt on it. Love his big fluffy ears.

Mittens

Mittens, voiced by Susie Essman, is the unlucky cat that was dragged along by Bolt to fulfill his crazy mission of finding Penny.

The Mittens plush toy also stands at 12” tall. However, the plush toy looks a little different from the movie character. The movie Mittens looks more scrawny and neat. But the plush figure looks too fluffy.

Rhino

Rhino the hamster is voiced by Mark Walton in the movie. A huge fan of Bolt and also being a little crazy itself, he teamed up with Bolt to search for Penny.

For a hamster, the plush toy version stands at 12” tall. So it is the same height as the plush Bolt and Mittens.

Overall the toys are very cute and seeing that they are made by Disney, should be safe to use too. A nice gift to get for the kids this coming holidays.
