Halo 3 Series 2 - Cyan ODST Spartan

The Cyan ODST Spartan is available under the Multiplayer line-up from Series 2 and comes packaged in a blister card. This figure is an exclusive figure, which means that it is not availble at mass retail but from a certain store and is thus produced in limited quantities compared to the rest of the other mass retail figures.

The figure is secured via a few twist ties at the 4 limbs. This Spartan armour configuration makes it’s debut in Series 2. However, the only difference is in the helmet, the rest of the armour is the same as the MK VI configuration.

That being said, the base mould for the figure is the same for all Spartans. Hence, the points of articulation, peg holes and their locations are the same for all Spartans, including the Masterchief(just that he doesn’t feature removable armour).

The helmet shares the same design as the ODST Trooper from the Campaign line-up of Series 2. This particular armour configuration was probably a nod to the SPARTAN-ODST programme which saw normal ODSTs being augmented to become super soldiers like the Spartans.

As a figure from the Multiplayer line-up, the ODST Spartan features removable helmet, shoulder armour pieces and front chest plate which can then be interchanged with any Spartan from the Multiplayer line-up from any series to create a unique, customised and personalised Spartan armour configuration.

The ODST Spartan comes packaged with a battle rifle and a fragmentation grenade. The pegs come attached to the weapons and can be removed at a whim. The battle rifle features a filled out trigger assembly, which means that the ODST Spartan’s fingers wrap around the trigger guard instead of going through the trigger assembly. The fragmentation grenade is essentially the same as the previous releases.

The Wal-Mart exclusive sticker is part of the packaging and is placed on the left of the bubble as can be seen from the picture above and one should take note of looking out for it when buying these exclusives. This is so as all exclusives in Series 2 include this particular feature which states which store that figure is exclusive to.
