Omnitrix? I’ll give you Omnitrix!!!
With so many Omnitrix toys being release, I bet some of you are confused about which version has what features. Well, to solve that problem, I am going to do a review on the different versions of Omnitrix that is available now. Lets get started.
1. The Omnitrix F/X
The Omnitrix F/X resembles the actual Omnitrix worn by Ben in Ben 10. The watch is scaled down to the real size as that in the cartoon. By pressing the little green button at the bottom of the watch face, you can actually activate the Omnitrix and the watch face will pop up slightly. Turn the watch face to select the alien form which you want and then press the watch face down and a transformation sound will be emitted. The alien forms can be seen on the face of the watch as silhouettes and are backlit for an easier view. when the Omnitrix gets deactivated, it emits a red light.
2. Omnitrix Alien Viewer
This Omnitrix allows you to watch Ben’s transformation into his alien form from a animation disc. The watch comes preloaded with three animation discs but you can collect the other discs by purchasing Ben 10 alien collection figures. The watch also spots a storage compartment to store all your discs.
3. Deluxe Omnitrix
The Deluxe Omnitrix spots a LCD screen watch face that displays the alien form which you can choose by turning the watch face. The watch comes pre-installed with a game where you have to select the right aliens to defeat Vilgax in a given time limit. The watch itself is packed with sound and light effects as well.
4. Ultimate Omnitrix
This version of the Omnitrix is spotted by teenage Ben in Ben 10 : Alien Force. whats so special about this watch as compared to the original Omnitrix is that it gives Ben, ten new alien forms. The watch comes with a translucent figure of one of the alien and when you attach it onto the watch face, you can actually unlock the aliens unique sound and image. To collect all the translucent figures to complement the watch, you will have to collect the Alien force action figures. Each action figure comes with its own translucent figure.
I have actually done a review on the Ben 10 : Alien Force action figures. It contains pictures of the translucent figure.
5. Ultimate Omnitrix Illuminator
With this Omnitrix, you can project images of scenes and aliens from the cartoon series anywhere from the walls to the ceilings. It comes with 3 discs each containing 5 images.

Any idea where still selling the Ben 10 Omnitrix F/X in Singapore? I understand it’s a 2006 edition and some of the stores I’ve visited are not carrying it anymore.

Thanks for visiting the site. Regarding your question, you can try places like Toys r us and oter departmental stores like OG and Takashimaya. I am pretty sure that some of them do have this product. As the Ben 10 series is catered for kids, most of the toy specialty shops do not have them.

I was trying very hard looking for Deluxe Omnitrix watch. I’ve been to OG, Metro, Toy’R'us and Carrefour. They’re not selling anymore. Is there a way I can find this in Singapore? If not, where would you suggest?

Hi Kevin.
Seems like the Omnitrix is indeed a tough find. I think you can try out Kiddy’s Palace. I think there is a branch at Marina Square. If worst come to worst, I would recommend that you get it from Amazon or Toywiz. Although the shipping cost maybe a little expensive. Hope this helps.

Hi Rick. Have you tried to search in stores like Kiddy Palace and the departmental stores? I remember seeing one in a toy shop at the topmost level of Plaza Singapura. However that is about 3 weeks ago. Not sure if it is still available but its worth giving it a shot.
thanks LobotMan i have tried calling kiddy palace and they said they do not have any more of the “old” omnitrix and the only have the ultimate and ultimate illuminator ill try PS thanks btw do u think takashimaya has it?
No problem Rick. You can give Taka a shot but from what I have heard from other users who asked for the Omnitirix F/x, they couldn’t find it at Taka. The shop at PS is located at the same level as the cinema box office. All the best!

Can’t really give you a definite answer. Maybe you would like to look for the distributor of the toys. Its Shengtai toys.

Not sure if they do retail business. But i think they may have a clue of where you might find the Omnitrix. Hope this helps.

They are open during normal office hours. So its best to contact during the weekdays maybe in the morning and afternoon after 1.00pm
i tried lots of places already such as bishan og taka and more but i couldnt find it … any place tat sells old toys such as the omnitrix f/x?
Wow you must have searched high and low for this particular toy. But I am sorry as I am not sure if there are any stores carrying this toy at the moment. Again, if it’s really urgent and important, getting it from Amazon is a viable option.
I am curious, what is your opinion on the better of the two: the Omnitrix FX or the Deluxue Omnitrix, I would like to purchase it for my 6 year old, the deluxe looks more comfortable with the flexible strap, but is the FX cooler, since it looks more like the “real” omnitrix?? Thanks!
Hi Shanon. Welcome to Toydem. The Omnitrix F/X is indeed the cooler version of the two that you have mentioned. My nephew has a Omnitrix F/X and he doesn’t complain about any discomforts about the straps. However, the watch face can be a little big for a six old kid. But if given a choice, I would recommend the F/X.

Hi Shilpa. First and foremost, welcome to Toydem. Regarding the Omnitrix F/X, it seems that many users have trouble locating this toy in the toy stores in Singapore. Therefore, if it is really urgent, I will recommend that you purchase the toy from Amazon. The price for the toy is pretty reasonable. However, the freight maybe a little hefty. Hi i have searched for the omnitrix and i found a whole bunch of omnitrix deluxe at og near simlim! I got one a few days ago but I’m not sure if there are anymore of them but i hope this helps you omnitrix seekers!Try to get one yourselves there may be some left over there…(i also heard that it was the same price as the omnitrix f/x o.0)($49-$50(forgot how many cents -_-))(Singapore)
