Whats your Zodiac, Warrior?

Macfarlane has introduced a new series called the warriors of the zodiac. For this series, spanning the whole year of 2008, 12 zodiac warriors will be released. As you can see, these zodiac warriors are not your typical zodiac characters. Highly detailed, and there seems to be a back story to these series regarding Earth being under alien attack. Well, I think they will be releasing more of this story once the rest of the series are released. Lets look at the 4 figures in this series - Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Cancer.

Aries: March 21st to April 19th

Element : Fire

Aries stands 6 3/8 inches tall and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, left elbow waist and knees. Comes with a bladed weapon.

Taurus : April 20th to May 20th

Element : Earth

Taurus stands at 5 inches tall and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, wrists, waists and ankles. It comes with a removable mask and a weapon.

Gemini : May 21st to June 20th

Element : Wind

Gemini is really a very unique figure. As you can see, the figure captures the essence of a Gemini - Duality. Gemini stands at 3 1/2 inches tall and that includes the spikes at its back. The figure is articulated at its four shoulders (ball joints), wrists and middle of back.

Cancer : June 21st to July 22nd

Element : Water

Cancer stands at 6 3/8 inches tall and is articulated at its left shoulder, wrists, right claw (ball joint on pincer), waist and knees.

The packaging that comes with figure:

Series 1 is already out for sale while series 2 is ready for preorder and is set to be released in the 3rd quarter this year. The 2nd series will consist of the characters - Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio. Looking at these wonderful kits, you can be sure I will be doing a full review on all 12 figures and who knows, I may start buying some them. GOT TO HOLD BACK!
